From 18:00 to 00:00, the artist Marilen Rauch from Gothenburg invites you to experiment with sound in a workshop. The workshop is based on her work “Material Soundscapes”, in which the participants encounter the material sound in a sensual way: via headphones they listen to field recordings of the various processes of the material and its surroundings. While listening to these soundscapes, they shape the sound together and leave their traces in the soft material. With every touch of the sound, the sound space also changes, as if the material itself is beginning to tell a story. In the course of the workshop, a collective, processual collection of traces emerges – a space in which touching, listening and shaping intertwine. The workshop aims to create a feeling for the materiality and origin of the sound and make it possible to experience a connection between body, place and sound.
